Pooch Patrol Scoop 🐶 November 2024
Happy Thanksgiving pawparents,
It's that time of year when we're gathered with loved ones that support us. My two brothers, Bryan and Andy, have always been there for me through thick and thin. Bryan is two years older so naturally, we have a lot in common.
He got me into three things that still keep me happy in life: music, movies, and skateboarding. While you're taking the day off, I invite you to think about who you care about the most right now.
Reach out to them and tell them you love them. And remember to say thank you.

General Updates 🐶
Chuck's Walking Again
It's been 11 weeks since I broke my ankle skateboarding and excited to be walking again! It's a slow process and taking it one day at a time. Physical therapy has really improved my pace of recovery. I'm so grateful for the health team here in Montavilla.

Turner Has Been Rocking It
Our Pooch Patrol pack member, Turner, has been handling of all our client walks and so proud of him. He's loves walking your furbabies and has been growing their relationships which is a very important aspect of petcare. I won't be ready for client walks until December so we'll keep this motivated boy working.
We're Accepting 2025 Bookings
Did you know that you can pre-book our services in 2025? If you have travel plans next year, I highly recommend requesting your care needs with us soon. Spring break, summer, Thanksgiving, and Christmas always get busy every year. We are accepting new clients but you get first priority.
Rescue Shout Outs 👐

Cat’s Meow Cat Rescue
They're a foster based rescue located in Milwaukee, OR that's dedicated to improving the lives of cats and kittens. Their mission is to help improve the overall lives of cats in their community and their rescue partners to help find homes for cats. They also provide trap-neuter-return (TNR) to finding placement for abandoned or unwanted cats.
Greenhill Humane Society
They have been operating the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area since 1944. Their programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and more.
Biz Shout Outs 👐

Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy
This is the local team on NE Glisan that's been helping me with my ankle recovery. When I came to Denzil, I couldn't walk and was fully reliant on my knee scooter. After only a few sessions with a customized treatment plan, I've gotten my mobility back. Their team is super friendly and committed to their client's specific needs for care.
Orthopedic + Fracture Specialists
A huge shout out to my ankle surgeon, Dr. Davitt who put everything back together with such precision. The main bone (tibia) broke and was pushed underneath the smaller one (fibula). His team is the best for any kind of fracture. They're friendly, compassionate, and non-judgmental.
Fresh Tunes 🎧
With the colder weather kicking in, I've been listening to calm and quieter tunes:

Todavia - I used to play classical guitar so if you need some mellow tunes, check it out. It's perfect for getting work done, reading a book, or sitting by the fireplace.
Chillwave - a flowy compilation of instrumental electronic tracks inspired by 80s synthwave. Ideal for focusing or studying.
Softly - this one features female artists who will soothe your soul. Pop your headphones on to experience the textures and harmonies.
Chills & Thrills 🎬
New addition! I've been watching 1960s sci-fi, spy, and campy horror films. The video quality of these are quite detailed and the colorized versions are dreamy.

The Phantom Planet - An astronaut's ship gets pulled in by a strange planet's forces. He gets miniaturized and must to become one of the inhabitants. Coleen Gray, Dolores Faith, and Dean Fredericks make it a winner.
Diary of a Madman - An evil spirit enters the body of Vincent Price who plays a French magistrate grieving for his spouse. Nancy Kovack's character is sneaky and manipulative. Their combo makes it a fantastic watch.

Billion Dollar Brain - British spy-turned-detective, played by a young handsome Michael Caine, stumbles upon an oil tycoon's plot to overthrow Communism using a supercomputer. Françoise Dorléac keeps him on his toes.
